  1. Let’s see Brandon try to deal with 230 pound starting Point Guard Hawkins:

I see Brandon falling on his little face; at least he’ll be close to the vatican.

Sorry Brandon but you’ll have to travel all that way to get pushed around by Hawkins. Too bad, so sad. Enjoy the developmental league after your stint in Italy.

  13. I don’t know if you’ll read this comment, anyway…Welcome Brandon! I’m so happy that you decided to sign for us

I hope you’ll like Rome and the team of Lottomatica, which I support since I was a kid.

We reached the finals last year, and this time we wanna win the championship with you.

You’ll find good teammates (Ibby Jabber, Sani Becirovic from Slovenia, probably Allan Ray former Celtics) and a competent coach, Jasmin Repesa from Croatia, who is a little bit rough but he’s also well known to be able to bring up well young players as you.

Your little 170lb frame is going to get beasted by worthless European ball players who will beat you with superior intellect. Intellect you never had cause you are a ghetto hoodlum black. I question your intellect because it took you three times to qualify on the SAT. If that is true…..

  27. Hawkins could kiss my ass, he will never make it to the nba, Jennings is ready; and being as skinny and how short as he is that is saying alot, 9 out of 10 of thos ranking sites are picking him #1 in the 09 draft. so what else do you have to say Meatball?

    Comment by muggz27 — July 18, 2008 @ 11:54 am

  28. To : “The Meatball”. You are the most stupid and sorriest person on this site. It is clear that you have no life, as most of your sorry, pathetic, pitiful comments about a teenage boy, who is living his life. Grow-up and get a damn life, or better yet drop dead and do the world a favor. It is clear that you are jealous of a teenager :P YOUR CONSTANT REFERRENCE OF A “BLOW JOB” IS ALL YOU CAN DO, YOU IMPOTENT CREATURE.

  29. If this guy DID (finally) qualify on his SAT and still decided to go to EUROPE, that will be a risk and possible and irreversible one. If he didn’t qualify I dun see why he should go through the Junior College Process, risking to be forgotten knowing that he could’ve made millions already. I mean this is pretty tough but hey at the end of the day, it’s all about him.

  34. Way to go, Its good to see someone stick it to the college hoops system. And I’m sure you sought the advice of other players that played there as well as Coach Smith. Second for all of the dummies that are posting on here. Look at Brandon’s stats compared to other players that playes at Oak Hill Academy like um, Carmelo, Durant, Mercer, Stackhouse, Rondo and then question why someone would do this. He did pass the SAT’s and could easily make it without a question. Way to stick it too the rules. And thanks for the pict with my kids at the game.

  36. muggz27- Well, you must live in the same fantasy land that Jennings does, as there isn’t one mock NBA Draft that has him as the #1 pick. Why not provide proof? Are you capable of reading? It’s now currently July 21st, 2008 and the highest I see him projected out of 7 Mock Drafts is #4 to the Knicks. The whole point is, it doesn’t matter where he is projected right now in the Summer of 2008. When he is exposed and pushed around next year by less talented guards, the world (i.e. NBA) will know that Jennings is a soft primadona. The comparisons to Iverson will dry up, and he will be an after thought in next years NBA draft. Just face the facts; he didn’t qualify for school. That makes him either incompentent, lazy, or stupid. Take your pick Butterfly. The only choice he made was playing in Europe rather than going to a Junior College, and the reason he made that choice was simply monetary. Well kiddo, I for one believe your greed and lack of intelligence has taken you to a place where you will fail. I could not care less if you failed or succeeded, but it’s pretty fun posting on here and reading uneducated drivel spewing from some of you illiterate posters. I’m surprised some of you can even operate a PC. Kudos for that accomplishment!

    Comment by Dave " The Meatball" Armistead — July 21, 2008 @ 10:37 am

  37. I dont know….he should have went to AZ. he could have covered up his defecinces. Now he’s going to be exposed by stonger but less talented gaurds he has no jump shot and he is very skinny. He might turn out worst than Sebastian Telfair. He could have went to a junior college but his stock might have went down and possible forgotten. But this decision is probably the best for his family I wish him alot of luck.

You didn’t miss much by not going to college for one year. I have never read such racist trash that I did on the bathroom walls while I was in college. 66. The idiot imposter strikes again on August 12th, 2008. Thought you’d get the last word? I am going to laugh when Jennings has a career ending injury in a few months. He will find that Euro contracts are not guaranteed like they are in the NBA and will be left with around 50K after his medical bills, a limp, and a 4th grade education. But since he is a baller and has the smarts of a 7 year old retarded midget, he will likely spend the 50K on jewerly and a car. So by 22 he will be broke, but he will always have those memories. Now that he can’t play basketball, what is Young Money going to do? I hope he chooses to stay in Europe as he will only be a welfare and disability burden on the US. Stay in Europe young money.

  71. Jennings is gonna mess up against David Hawkins? 230 pounds, he shouldn’t keep up against him for anything but his “experience”. Hawkins won’t be able to keep up, he’ll be a fouling machine!
But I do think this competition will help Jennings, his teams won’t cupcake it up against bad teams like LMU, Weber State, and Oregon State. This kid can play. If anybody’s seen gunnin for that #1 spot, where he destroyed dudes in the elite 24, then people know he’s got talent. If he has the drive to succeed, he can go as far as he wants to. If Rondo can do it, so can Jennings. Was Gary Payton huge when he was named to all-defensive teams? No. That’s all myth. You know who’s big? Marcus Williams and Deron Williams. And they can’t defend for shit! It’s about heart, skills, and determination. If he focuses on improving his game, and doing team things, he’ll be good. Forget about hype, and just play. Eventually we’ll see the results.
