Brandon Jennings will have to wait another week to find out if he is eligible to play basketball at the University of Arizona. The College Board won’t release his SAT score until July 11th. The latest delay may entice Jennings to sign with a European team but he made it clear that it had to take a perfect situation for him to play in Europe:
“I need a team that needs a point guard, a coach who would take the time to work with me, an American on the team who could show me the ropes and playing time to show off my game.”
As a very proud alum of the University of Arizona, I think Mr. Jennings should go directly to Europe; do not pass go, do not stop at the University of Arizona. It is a university, a place for higher learning, not showcasing talent for the NBA. I would personally be embarrassed if the university I love so much were to allow him to enroll.
The League is filled with dopes like you who thought they were ready. For every Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant there is a dozen of other high school wunderkinds whose names have now slipped into obscurity.

Money makes the world go round
Jennings would not be in high demand in Europe as a point guard but could probably command a decent contract if he had a buyout clause an NBA team would have to pay next year, thus making the European club some money.
Tucson would be the better route to take, being in the spot light Vs Being outside of America where all American’s are hated and used to profit off of you.
Sometimes taking a loss upfront could pay huge dividends in the future.

Young brother I am proud of you and there are many teens, parents,coaches, aau team, and many more that are proud of you. The step you took to grow up and be a man is gigantic. These are steps similar to Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali. They took steps to make a difference in the face of opposition and adversity. The major components of surviving are motivation, dedication, determination, relentless work ethic and maintaining your values and never become compromised. Keep God first and everything will work out. You are just an instrument used by God to make a difference and end the foolish exploitation of our youth. When you get a chance I would love for you to speak to my kids that I work with.
