The LA Times has a small blurb on Brandon Jennings and how the UCLA and USC basketball rivalries with Arizona Wildcat might get more heated with comments made by the Arizona committed point guard:

“I don’t respect West Coast point guards; they’re too Hollywood for me”

“I’m more of an East Coast, flashy-type point guard.”

On UCLA recruit Jrue Holiday:

“He’s real smooth, goes to work in the first three quarters — but he’s not a killer yet,” Jennings said. “Me, I’m a killer.”

July 10th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Brandon Jennings may be small, but he’s got a big game. Many say he has been the best player on the floor during camp for elite prospects sponsored by Reebok.

Slam Online is impressed with his competitiveness, commitment to defense and unselfishness and also his game:

The Arizona commit has been simply spectacular, looking like a video game with his rainbow treys, ridiculous dimes and yo-yo handle

Meanwhile, Kevin Armstrong, wrote in SI an article on Jennings dealing with criticism of not playing 100% all the time, his attitude, and his thoughts of other California players:

“Do I think they are good players? Yes. But I think people need to cool down the talk of putting me with them. I understand I left California for Oak Hill and people didn’t like that. But I’m still from there. I’ve been doing this longer.”
