Top rated Point guard Brandon Jennings of Oak Hill Academy will be an Arizona Wildcat. He declared his intent to sign with Arizona after visiting the campus today, a month after decommiting from the University of Southern California. Last season as a junior, Jennings averaged 15.2 points and 11.5 assists. Jennings cannot sign his national letter-of-intent until November.
On the academic situation at Arizona:
“The players, especially the ones in the NBA, come back to finish classes and graduate”
On playing college ball at Point Guard U:
“The system is well suited for guards; it’s a program that produced great guards like Gilbert Arenas, Mike Bibby and Jason Terry.”
On his official visit:
“I had a chance to really see things on my visit on Monday, I got to play with the guys and their cool. I met with Coach Olson and the staff, and they made me feel that I was more than just a player in their program, that I would be a person. But it was the AD, the academic advisor and other people I met on the visit and over the weekend that sold me on Arizona being the right place to further my career academically and in basketball. I knew I would have the right support group to succeed there.”
On why he chose Arizona over schools like Connecticut:
“It’s closer to home than some of the programs, like Connecticut and others. Sometimes things get tough, or aren’t working like you’d like, so its great to be close to family. Arizona is close to home. My family can be there for me if they’re needed. That’s really important to me.”
On his message to Arizona Wildcat fans:
“Yeah, I want them to buy their tickets now, cause I want to be part of putting them in the big show and head back to the Final Four. I think we’ll have the squad to do that.”

great to know you are coming to Arizona! man, can’t wait to see you wearing the Wildcats uniform and playing in our court. You will be love here.

Best of Luck to you. UCONN would have been a much better fit for you, but I guess your mind is now finally made up.

Arizona is a perfect choice! It’s also going to be a great vehicle into the league for you.
You go there and do your thing man. You’ll have the freedom to dominate the program and the conference, I’m stoked to see it.

Not only is it a great program but you will undoubtedly be NBA ready once you leave there. Arizona was a great career choice, the best of the best. Best of luck in the upcoming season!
