Brandon Jennings to have an unofficial visit to Arizona on Monday

May 19th, 2007 · No Comments

Brandon Jennings scored 28 points and had 10 rebounds in Belmont Shore’s 98-91 victory over Larry Drew and the Pump-N-Run Elite at the Arizona Cactus Classic. Jennings was a late addition to the team borrowed from the Oakland Soldiers.

Former Arizona Wildcat Salim Stoudamire chatted with Jennings afterward, and Jennings agreed to stay for an unofficial visit on Monday.

“I want to see the fans, and the campus for the first time,” Jennings said. “I want to see how the players live and all that.”

Why is Arizona among the finalists for Jennings decision in July?

“It’s a point guard school,” Jennings said. “The top three point guards in the league went here—Gilbert Arenas, Mike Bibby and Jason Terry. They like to play my style of basketball, too, up and down.”
